Supplies:
- pumpkin wreath form from Dollar Tree
- twine
- greenery
- bow or ribbon to create your own bow
- hot glue and glue gun
- wood beads
- wire cutters
- any additional decorative pieces you may want to add.
Steps:
1. Use wire cutters to cut all of the pumpkin metal pieces as close to the top of the pumpkin as you can except for the ones on the every end. The pieces that make this wire frame 3D.
2. Slide your wood beads down the cut metal pieces fitting as many wood beads on as you can.
3. Apply hot glue to the inside of the last wood bead you place creating a stopper so the beads do not come off as you work on filling the others.
4. Use hot glue to attach last wood bead and wire to original place on pumpkin frame. The wood bead will help provide more surface areas to reattach the wire frame.
5. Wrap twine around pumpkin stem and secure it with hot glue as needed.
6. Cut and hot glue greenery to pumpkin wreath as desired. Use the greenery to cover any extra hot glue.
7. Attach a bow to pumpkin along with any additional decorative pieces.
I kept my pumpkin simple and elegant. You could also add twine or a pretty lacy ribbon to the side pieces of the pumpkin we did not cut or cover. You could also add fabric or ribbon behind the pumpkin to create a different more colorful pumpkin. Sola wood flowers would also be very pretty inside the pumpkin or at the top by the stem. This is just one example on how to decorate your pumpkin frame, have fun decorating your pumpkin. I also thought about adding macrame ties around my pumpkin. You can use which ever size you like best and can find. Unless you find the really long strand of wood beads, which I have not seen for awhile at my Dollar Trees, I would recommend buying your wood beads in larger quantities somewhere else.
