Supplies:

1. Picture frame with glass or acrylic. No backing/double sided glass is better but normal frame will also work.
2. Paint marker for outlines
3. Acrylic paint and paint brushes or paint markers to fill in design
4. Printer or you can free hand a design
5. My Design
   • Library Password
   • Go directly to library
6. Tape to hold glass in place. I used painters tape
7. Ruler

Steps:

1. Measure the inside of your frame and adjust your design accordingly. See my YouTube video on how to modify my design in Cricut Design Space to get it to fit different size frames.

2. Print your image/design. It might be easier if you print your design in a different color than your outline paint marker color.

3. Place your glass over your design. Make sure it is lined up correctly so that the frame will not cover it up and that it is centered once you place the glass back in the frame.

4. Place tape around the edges of your glass to help hold it in place as you take your paint marker and trace your design. Then let the paint dry for a few minutes.

5. Turn your glass around and apply acrylic paint or paint marker or watered down acrylic paint for a more transparent look to your desired areas. You can even add paint to the background. Remember if you layer any paint, the first color you apply is what will show.

6. Let your paint fully dry before inserting your glass into your frame. Since I had two pieces of glass, I used one piece of glass to cover and protect the front outline of my piece. If you used a traditional frame, then you can apply some silicone around the edges of the glass to help hold it to the frame and throw the backing away or add the backing with a fun piece of cardstock as a backdrop.

I really like how this piece turned out. I am going to keep this piece in my kitchen window so I can look at it everyday. I love how simple and beautiful it is. It is even more stunning when the light shines through it. It looks like something you would pay a lot of money for at a craft fair, but it actually was pretty quick and easy to make. If you trace a design, then it does not require to much artistic ability, which made it very relaxing to make. You could trace the outline again on the back side if you would like to make it double sided.
