Supplies:
- Temporary tattoo paper
- Printer
- A cricut machine to cut out the designs or you can cut them out by hand with scissors
- Cricut Design Space or other program to make the designs. You can make them in Cricut Design Space for free, then move them to a Microsoft program to print them if you do not have a Cricut machine. Cricut Access
- Bowl of water
- paper towel
Steps:
1.Select images you would like to use and add them to your canvas in Cricut Design Space.
2. Select an image and create an offset for it. You can make the offset as large or small as you like, but it will be clear and not show. The offset tells the Cricut machine where to cut out your tattoo. This step is not needed if you are cutting the tattoos out by hand.
3. If there are extra pieces inside your design you do not wish to be cut out, then select contour in the bottom right side. Then select all the small pieces inside you wish to remove. Next click the X to close the contour tab.
4. Select both the image and the offset and click flatten.
5. Print and cut out your designs. Place the shiny side up. Once your design is printed there is a clear sheet you need to place over your designs before cutting them.
6. Place one temporary tattoo directly on your skin with the design side facing down touching the skin.
7. Get a piece of paper towel damp and hold it over the Temporary tattoo for about 30-60 seconds. The backing should slide off leaving the temporary tattoo on the skin.
These steps are the same steps you can take to make stickers. The temporary tattoos should stay on the skin for about 2-3 days. This would be so fun to do with kids and to let them pick out their own designs or even drawl their own designs, then upload their designs as a PDF in order to print then cut. You just need the tattoo paper and a printer to make these. The Cricut machine just gives you more options and makes it a little easier.
