Supplies:

1. Wood biscuits. The ones I used were 47mm long by 15mm
2. Wood frame of something to glue your flowers to. Mine came from Dollar Tree.
3. Acrylic paint and paint brushes
4. Jute cord or something to make the stems
5. Buttons, wood beads, or other items to make the center of the flowers
6. Hot glue and glue gun
7. Cardstock and other decorations you might want
8. Mod Podge if using cardstock
9. scissors

Steps:

1. Lay pieces down to determine design and placement.

2. Paint one side and sides of wood biscuits. My dark blue needed 2 coats of paint, but everything else was okay with just one.

3. Paint and decorate the wood frame. I painted the edges of one side a light blue. I then added a decorative piece of cardstock for the back side. To add the cardstock I applied a layer of mod podge first, then placed my cardstock over it while it was still wet. I used my hand (a brayer would work well) to smooth out the cardstock and make sure it was adhered. I waited till it was dry and then took scissors and trimmed down the extra cardstock.

4. Apply hot glue to the back of the wood biscuits and set them in place.

5. Use hot glue and a tool (I used a silicon paint brush) to press your jute cord into place.

6. Do not forget to your leaves like I almost did.

7. Apply hot glue to attach the buttons and things for the center of your flowers.

8. Add any extra decorative touches.

I really liked how this piece turned out. I might need to make one for myself. I do not have a lot of independence décor pieces. So, I might make another one for myself with one side being the red, white, and blue, and the other side sunflowers. I really like how the designs on the wood biscuits still show through the paint. This was a fun and easy project.

Have fun making these and make them your own. I made two and they both turned out very different.
